Yes, I know how to upkeep bangs. My own, anyway (hairdresser in Huntsville told me how). We’ll see how it goes getting a 3 yr old to let me upkeep hers!
This past month she was saying she wanted her hair “up like mama’s” then this past week she was going back and forth between that and a whiney “Nooooo.” And we didn’t dare say “haircut” – that always got a no.
Yesterday morning, as I was waking her up, I asked her if she wanted to get her hair pretty and up like mama’s. I was greeted with the whiney, “noooo.” I thought for a moment and asked, “Do you want to go get your hair ugly and tangly?” She kinda grinned and said, “Yes.” So at dinner we were getting her excited over going to get her hair ugly and tangly – and she was cooperating!
She definitely likes it – This morning she’d pull her bangs back and say, “I not pretty anymore!” Then let them down and say, “Now I am!”
Taylor, I think you are very pretty. And I love your new haircut with bangs! Love, Grandma
Taylor – we just love your new haircut, you look very pretty. Atticus can’t wait to meet you, we’ll have to arrange a visit very soon.
