Today was a big day for our baby, I mean big girl. Today, she started K-3. She’ll be learning days of the week, months, counting a little higher, and some other stuff that we’ll find out about at tonight’s meeting. The big thing for me was walking in this morning and seeing that she has an assigned seat at the table.
Yep, she’s in for more structure – more school-like environment. The teacher even has a warning system (green, yellow, and red) for behavior. That should be interesting with her recent “hearing problem.”
The other big thing… since she was potty trained, we’ve been using the nighttime pullups. For a LONG time now, they’ve been dry when she wakes up (we re-use until they’re either wet or getting worn-looking). Our plan was to finish up this pack, but Taylor’s plan was different. With 3 of these pull-ups left in her drawer, she announced last night that she wanted to sleep in her panties and she did!
I realize there will still be times that we’ll be up and changing sheets & clothes, but it’s still a momentous occasion.
YEA FOR TAYLOR! She’s growing up so fast!
