Finally!!
We had a busy weekend this past weekend and basically threw that poor little girl's schedule all out of whack. Brian posted some pictures on the 28th. What he didn't post was that she FINALLY rolled over from her belly to her back for US!! :) :) :) In case you haven't read earlier posts, she's rolled from her belly to back for daycare several times...this was the first time we'd seen her do it. And believe me, mommy was so proud of her little girl! (yes, I let her know that too :) ).
She also showed off for grandpa while mommy & grandma were shopping. Grandpa got one of her toys out - it's a caterpillar that's all scrunched up. You pull it out and it rattles and shakes back to the scrunched position. Well, grandpa was pulling it out and putting it on Taylor's tummy while it rattled and shook back to position. He got some really good giggles and a few outright laughs out of her. He tried to get a repeat performance for mommy & grandma but, as we have learned, our darling little girl rarely performs on demand.
All in all it was a good weekend and ended with one worn out little girly (and a couple of worn out parents).

Taylor vs. Taylor
Playtime on the floor! Taylor with her talking pet turtle, also named Taylor.

TiVo's youngest fan
Taylor loves her TiVo. It's very tasty. Mommy and Daddy love their TiVo too, but haven't tasted the remote yet.

Bring on the veggies!
If you've been keeping up with Elizabeth's updates, you know how much Taylor loves to eat, and how she is eating whatever we give her. These pictures are from her first introduction to vegetables, Butter Nut Squash in this case.

Our Roly Poly
According to daycare, she rolled over from her belly to her back not once, not twice, but FOUR times yesterday! Has she done that for us yet? Of course not. *sigh* On the flip side (no pun intended), she's rolled over from her back to her belly for us but not for daycare so :P :)
Anyway, we're trying to give her lots of tummy time at home - she's tolerating it better but still hasn't rolled over for us doggoneit. Oh well. One day. I guess I'm not in much of a hurry on that...before long she'll be crawling and getting into stuff.

Some more fun from this weekend
I forgot to mention some other stuff. Getting ready for church, we decided it'd be more fun to play with Taylor. Brian was on the floor with her and she was feeling his face and beard and I joined him. She found my hair and had two fistsful - Brian got a picture and as soon as Brian shows me how, I'll post it. Update: pictures are below Needless to say, we were late to church.
The other fun - while cleaning, I found a rattle that had come in a flower arrangement. We'd saved it thinking Taylor would like it. I washed it and gave it to her - she loves it. She's fascinated with the little colorful balls that move around when she shakes it. And she surprised us and passed it from her right hand to her left hand. :)
Anyway, that wasn't all our fun this weekend but those are the biggies. :)

Another milestone!!!
Guess what our darling did today! She rolled over from her back to her belly. Yes, that's right, from her back to her belly! :) :) :) :)
She rolled over from belly to back in May and we were wondering how we were going to get her to even want to roll to her belly considering she doesn't like being on her stomach. The best we can guess, she was trying to see something that was behind her and she rolled to her side then to her belly, lifted her head and, voila, she could see what she wanted to see! Okay, so she was trying to see the TV.....*sigh* But she rolled over!!!! :)

Daycare story
Okay, don't get used to daily postings like this. I don't know that I can keep it up. We went and picked her up yesterday and noticed that on her little daily chart (they put notes about her on it..food intake, diapers, activities, etc).. anyway, under one of the sections, they'd written that she & Ella had played together. They put Taylor and another baby on the floor next to each other. Taylor would talk, Ella would laugh. Ella would talk, Taylor would laugh. They were talking and laughing back and forth. The people in the nursery were going and getting some of the other teachers, "Hey! Look at this!" I think the other neat thing about this is that the other little girl is two months younger than Taylor. She's an impressive little girl too. Too cute hearing about them talking and laughing together. :)

Our Hungry Little Girl!
We only recently started making her 8 ounce bottles - and we remember how much trouble we had getting her to 2 ounces...then 3 ounces...*sigh* It was only two days ago that I would have had either a bottle or the majority of a bottle left over from the previous day - she would drink it after having her cereal & baby food. Well, not this morning! Just yesterday, our darling little girl went through all six of her bottles! Her first one of the morning was only 5 ounces but the other 5 were all 8 ouncers and she drank 'em all! We usually send 4 bottles to daycare and end up bringing one home. Well, not yesterday. She drank all 4 bottles before 4:30!
So, needless to say, she's hit a growth spurt. She's already about 16 lbs and over 24" long. I'm looking forward to seeing how much she's grown when we go to our next well baby visit in July. :)

TaylorBlog is up!
Welcome to Taylor's very own weblog. We've set this up now to make it easier to post pictures and update the site on a more timely basis. All the pictures on the old site are now on the new site, just navigate through the archive links to the left.
Also, we have a new Comments section at the end of every post, which will allow you to send messages to us.
We have some great new pictures, including Taylor's adventures with squash and green beans! Watch this space for them soon. Elizabeth will be posting her email "Taylor Updates" here as well.
