Dad’s birthday present

Starting our descent into Charlotte it feels like so I better be quick.
Dad’s 65th birthday is coming up at the end of the month, so when I saw this sturdy smoker for sale at a neighbor’s house it suddenly made the perfect birthday gift. (And yes, I took the price tag off it before I gave it to him.)
This weekend, he and I took it apart to fit into their truck, while dodging rain and hail. He’s jealous of my garage I believe. Just six bolts holds the burn chamber to the body of the grill, but they were all rusted solid with the heads nearly gone. We eventually drilled through the last bolt and got it in the truck. Need to get to Huntsville soon to see how good a job it does.
Happy early 65th old man — just 17 more years until you can retire!
